Rice Pudding

Just wait until you try this luscious old-fashioned pudding. It’s the quintessential comfort food, and the slow cooker makes it remarkably easy to prepare.

Ingredients:
3/4 cup uncooked long grain rice
3 cups Original 8th Continent
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup melted butter
 
Instructions:
  1. Lightly grease the dish in a 3 1/2-quart or larger electric slow cooker.
  2. Put the rice into the cooker.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients, except for the butter, and mix well.
  4. Pour the butter over the rice mixture.
  5. Cover and cook at high setting until the rice has absorbed the liquid, about 4 hours.
  6. When ready to serve, spoon the pudding into individual bowls and top with whipped cream if desired.
