Nutty Apple Bars

Ingredients:

1 cup Perky's™ Nutty Grains & Soy™ Crunchy Cereal

1 cup unbleached flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/3 cup butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 cup 8th Continent™ Soymilk, Original

2 egg whites

1 large apple, peeled and chopped

 
Instructions:

1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Spray an 8"x8" square pan with cooking spray.

2.  In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients, combine with the milk and set aside.

3.  In a separate bowl, comgine the butter and the brown sugar and beat until creamy.

4.  Add the egg whites, and beat until incorporated.

5.  Stir dry ingredients into egg mixture and add the diced apple.

6.  Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes.
