Italian Sausage Marinara

Serves: 2-4

Ingredients:
1 package Italian Lean Links™
Oil to pan fry (olive, canola, garlic)
1 medium onion, 1" diced
1 red pepper, 1" diced
1 green pepper, 1" diced
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
2 cups tomato sauce (thin style)
1 tablespoon basil
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon marjoram
1 tablespoon tamari
1 tablespoon honey (or 3 tablespoons rice syrup)
 
Instructions:
  1. Heat oil in a 10" skillet and pan fry whole Italian Lean LinksTM until golden brown
  2. Cut into 1" pieces. Set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, saute onions and peppers with sea salt until onions are translucent. Top with fried Italian Lean Links™ pieces.
  4. Add tomato sauce, herbs, garlic, tamari, and sweetener. Stir gently. Cover and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes. Serve hot over pasta or on toasted Italian bread.
