Lean! Beef
4 tablespoon water
2 tablespoon canola oil
6 cabbage leaves (large outer ones)
2 med. onions, finely chopped
1 small green pepper, finely chopped
2 cups cooked rice
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 15-oz. can tomato sauce
2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoon sweetener
salt and pepper to taste
3 tablespoon cider vinegar |

| Instructions: |

Make the Meatballs
- Cover cabbage leaves with boiling water.
Cover and let stand until leaves are limp,
about 10 minutes. Drain.
- In a large skillet, heat oil on medium
heat. Add garlic and onions. Sauté
for 2 minutes.
- Add green peppers. Continue cooking
until onions are translucent.
- Add entire package of Gimme Lean!
Beef in small clumps to onion and pepper
mixture, and chop into smaller bite size
pieces.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
Continue cooking over medium heat until
browned.
- Add cooked rice. Add sweetener and vinegar
to tomato sauce. Set aside 1/4 cup.
- Add remainder of sauce to skillet; blend
well. Place 1/3 cup Gimme Lean!
Beef filling at stem end of each cabbage
leaf.
- Roll leaf around mixture, tucking in
sides. Use toothpick to hold together
if necessary.
- Place cabbage roll seam side down in
ungreased oblong baking pan.
- Combine reserved 1/4 cup tomato sauce
with 2 tablespoon water and pour over
cabbage rolls.
- Cover and cook in 350° oven, 35-45
minutes.
