Crisp with Walnutty Soy Topping

| This
recipe can be made with pears, plums, peaches
or any combination of your favorite seasonal
fruit. The crispy topping allows just
enough bubbling maple syrup and cinnamon through
to make you want to be the first one to plunge
a fork into it. |

| Ingredients: |
Filling
5 cups, peeled sliced apples
juice of 1 lemon
½ cup light brown sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
Crispy
Topping
¼ cup all purpose flour
1-1/2 cups Perky’s™
100% Natural Nutty Grains & Soy™
Cereal
1/3 cup maple syrup
¼ cup light brown sugar
¼ cup walnuts, chopped
½
teaspoon cinnamon
¼ cup softened butter
pinch salt

| Instructions: |
- Mix apples, lemon juice, brown sugar,
cinnamon and vanilla together. Spoon apple
mixture in a 2 inch deep, 8 inch square
baking pan.
- Combine the flour, Nutty Grains &
Soy Cereal, maple syrup, brown sugar,
walnuts, cinnamon and salt with butter;
mix until a crumbly topping forms. Sprinkle
all this over apples and bake at 375 degrees
uncovered for 30 minutes until apples
are tender and the crust is lightly browned
and bubbly.

Steve's Tip: Serve warm with
vanilla ice cream or plain yogurt semi frozen
and whippe.
